A generation of young men was effectively wiped out by the First World War. If we make young people aware of the sacrifices made for them, those sacrifices will not be forgotten.

Today, millions of pounds are spent on education and yet many who work within this system will tell you that it is not enough. Schools struggle to provide books and resources to their students.

The Great War Educational Trust, a non-profit organisation, was set up to provide free materials for schools and colleges and to develop a new unique education centre to enhance and encourage the learning, teaching and understanding of the First World War and, specifically, its literature.
